It was high time we refreshed the menu in Crich having had the same one for two years now; so we sat down with Phil, our chef, and came up with some tempting new dishes to keep you all happy and healthy over the coming months!

We haven't thrown out the proverbial baby though...fans of the loaf full breakfast need not worry as it hasn't changed (though we won't be able to serve it after noon any more as the kitchen gets too busy with lunches after that). Also still on the menu are our popular gourmet sandwiches. We have added to these with two new choices:

Patchwork mushroom and garlic chicken liver pâté, tomato, watercress and home-pickled carrot.

the loaf - a deli club sandwich with jarlsberg, italian salami, roasted peppers, rocket and pesto, served with two salads...with sourdough and a choice of crusty white or malted grain bread.

If these two sandwiches don't tempt you, then how about our new range of salads...

the breakfast salad

mixed leaves, poached egg, bacon, sausage and cherry tomato with croutons and a dressing made with Old Spot Ale mustard

the mezze

choose three salads from the blackboard and add your choice of Italian salami, Cropwell Bishop Stilton or Cornish brie...served with hummus, olives and bread of the day

the pie

enjoy our delicious home-made pork pie with a choice of two salads from the blackboard, balsamic onions, chutney and Lincolnshire Poacher cheese

the omelette

a mouth-watering Spanish omelette served with three salads from the blackboard, bread of the day and Derbyshire’s own Delishas red pepper jelly

It has certainly been fun tasting all these yummy treats while we have been putting the menu together and we are confident you will enjoy them when we next see you in Crich.

Rachel is a washed rind goat's cheese from the award winning cheese makers White Lake in Somerset, one of the finest goat's cheese producing dairies in the UK.

The semi soft cheese has a mellow taste with a lingering delicate goats cheese flavour. Excellent for those who like it not too goaty!

It was the winner of the Best Semi Soft Cheese at the British Cheese Awards 2011.

The vegetarian and unpastuerised cheese was named after one of the employees friends described as 'sweet curvy and slighty nutty'!
